
CIEP Membership – What it means to be a member of a professional association
Being professionally registered, and with a chartered institute in particular, signifies to the public a commitment and adherence to professional and ethical conduct.
It’s probably too generous to describe this as a blog. I prefer to think of it as a place I can go when the notion takes me – which may be every week, every month, or just when I come to the end of whatever book, TV or film series I happen to be enjoying. But, if you want to know my thoughts, advice and musings on editing, publishing and all things bookish, then you’ve come to the right place.

Getting elevated from the ‘slush pile’ is not easy, but the more preparation you do before sending your manuscript, the better your chances are that your book will be seen by the right person. And that can make all the difference!
